22 April 2023 is "Earth Day". A day to remind us all of how important it is to take care of and protect our planet. At SENLAC, we are also committed to sustainable travel and would like to show you how we do it.
One of our most important goals is to reduce our CO2 emissions. That's why we book the Thames Clippers with their hybrid engines for our London trips. On our coach trips we make sure that they are as full as possible. If a bus is only half full, we form cooperations with other classes. This not only saves costs, but also emissions.
We also make our students aware of sustainability. Therefore, before every trip, we point out to take reusable drinking bottles and lunch boxes to reduce the consumption of disposable plastic. In addition, we have greatly reduced our paper consumption in recent years by making city maps and information materials available online as PDFs.
